Aug 25-29th UPDATE

I have made this for two months, as I really need to focus on getting Downton Abbey finished and off the frame considering what has now arrived in the mail. (So excited, will share shortly).  So it will be my main focus for the month of August, so most of these things I am hoping to accomplish in September (with a few exceptions)
(I have also decided to go back to school, so that is going to also cut down on sewing time....)

SO excited......

Months in the making, but I am FINALLY done the FIRST row of Downton Abbey quilting.  Only taken me MONTHS!

Hopefully things will move a lot faster now!

 

 

Already rolled to the next section and working on it. :)

Motivation.... GONE!

Well, it would appear my motivation for my Women of the Bible quilt has left this week.... and I still have SO much to do on it. :(  I have been playing around online with it abit - organizing, etc.  I now know exactly what patterns I have to print for paper-piecing, applique, etc.... ugh.

Last night I pulled out the UNFINISHED 2013 Stonehendge BOM.  (Got it in early 2013 all at once as a kit... can probably tell you exactly if I bothered to look).
Anyways, realized that I have the fabric still (the borders uncut!), and the 12 blocks and the 8000 little pieces that go everwhere.... but I've lost the directions - including how BIG to cut said borders.  Well.  That just makes life more fun.  Oh ya, and the little triangle pieces I have to include in the first border.... hmm.  Joys.
At least I got the rows done... and can sew the centre together before the challenging part begins.... little steps!
Hopefully by the time I wrangle this together the ink comes so I can get some major progress on this WOB quilt.  Please please please. 

And I have and immense urge to work on my Dear Jane... but feel I should finish quilting Downton first.... oh the list never ends ;)

Summer HAS slowed me down, and well, September will as well, what with starting back at college, etc.  Like I said, it NEVER ends....

For the rest of June, I will be working on the month as a whole.... well Until July 4th. 

There are lots of days where the kids are home/family events/meetings/etc. 

As a result I am trying to catch up on previously uncompleted, with very little added... If I get it done though, I will add more!

Not a large number of goals, but really hoping to get some quilting done on Downton Abbey this week!!

So, here we are:

1. Top half and border embroidered on Hook, Line and Sinker
2. Quilt At least left side of Downton.
3. Trace and colour month FOUR of Gingerbread Squared
4. Baste and quilt the most recent placemats!
5. Cut 2 weeks worth of Women of the Bible.
6 (if I am not ahead of the group) Read Rahab for WOB (I may be ahead though, so this may not need to be done at all....

April 7-11th goals UPDATE!

Was quite happy with the progress for the week.  The only thing I was disappointed in, was I didn't get any quilting done..... Next week I am going to try to plan less though, so hopefully I get some done!

Okay.  So NOTHING got done last week except for the reading of Moses Mom.  So this week is going to be basically the same!

Okay, dreaming big on one item this week, so everything else is minimal...

March 25 - 28 - Goals Update

Okay, so Thursday I spent at a UFO sew in day for my guild.  And got less done than if I stayed home... lol.  Though I did start the hand part of the binding of one of the sibling quilts, so all was not lost.  Why did nothing get accomplished? Well, for starters I forgot my other sewing machine foot - so I only had the quarter inch one... which wasn't what I needed.  Also forgot my thread tree stand thingy, so my thread wouldn't go into the machine properly.  So I stopped, and did hand work....


So, goals for this week.
1. Finish embroidering month 2 Hook, Line and Sinker block.
DONE!!!  see....

changed the name of the lake, and some of the thread colours, but I am very happy with the end result!

 

2. Start Month 3 embroider of Gingerbread Squared
Done.  Not attaching a pic though until the block is completed....

3. Finish quilting the "sibling" quilts
Done. I do have a pic, with the binding even machined on, but not hand stitched (cause hand isn't done yet! But I can't find it... so please just believe me!

4. Cut up to (and including) week 26 of the Women of the Bible blocks.  - Um, not done.  At all. 

5. Post the tutorials for the latest 2 Women of the Bible blocks. - Not done.  At all.  Need to relocate my notes actually....

6. Bind the heart placemats
Done!!  See...

7. Finish the top of the fat 1/4 placemats I got the fabric.
Done, and more.  Got the top done the, then basted at the UFO day, and quilted when I got home - and bound... cause I am awesome...

BONUS:

Not done... at all...


Start the next month placemat kit
Done.  Got all the pieces cut out.  Got the birds bonded on... still need to bond the flowers... then applique stitch, finish piecing, etc.  Shouldn't take too long :)

Work In Progress - Goals March 17th - 21st

Okay, so next Thursday is UFO day at my Quilt Guild, so trying to plan ahead for that as well!

Goals:
1. Finish month two of Hook, Line and Sinker
2. Get 2 colours of Gingerbread Month 3 done... or a full section depending on how I decide to work on it.
3. Twin Quilts quilted. (extra credit... binding topstitched on).
4. Placemats quilted and trimmed
5.  2 Women of the Bible blocks cut out (extra credit, also sewn!)
6.  Read Potipers Wife
7. (if the kit comes).  Get the March set of placemants pieced, appliqued, and ready to be basted....(extra credit - also quilted and trimmed!)

EXTRA EXTRA CREDIT - quilt left side of Downton Abbey row...

Also get any prep done for Omigosh Quilt, and the Guild quilt to start strip piecing at guild next week...

Okay, so that`s a lot, I`m really pushing it..... here we go!!!
