SO excited......

Months in the making, but I am FINALLY done the FIRST row of Downton Abbey quilting.  Only taken me MONTHS!

Hopefully things will move a lot faster now!

Well, This week was set up to be quite busy!!!! I didn't plan on getting everything done, but I was hopeful!  And as you can see, I got very little done.... but I tried.  Honest.

This week is my son's birthday among other things, so we have lots going on.  Going to dream big though!

1. Finish embroidering Hook, Line and Sinker month 3
2. Quilt At least left side of Downton - start on the right side of the row.
3. Trace and colour month FOUR of Gingerbread Squared - start stitching
4. Qquilt the most recent placemats!
5. Cut 2 weeks worth of Women of the Bible.
6 Read Rahab for WOB.
7. Sew 2 women of the Bible blocks - and post tutorials.

Work in Progress - Week April 14th to 18th

Not a large number of goals, but really hoping to get some quilting done on Downton Abbey this week!!

So, here we are:

1. Top half and border embroidered on Hook, Line and Sinker

4. Baste and quilt the most recent placemats!

Work In Progress - April 7 - 11 GOALS

Okay.  So NOTHING got done last week except for the reading of Moses Mom.  So this week is going to be basically the same!

1. Finish embroidery of Month 3 Gingerbread Squared.
2. Cut out up to week 16 of Women of the bible
3. Read Miriam
4. Finish the March Placemat tops
5. work on Downton Abbey quilting
6. Write up the next directions for Women of the Bible.
7. Trace and colour Month 3 for Hook Line and Sinker

Focus is on the embroidery!!!!!!!

March 25 - 28 - Goals Update

Okay, so Thursday I spent at a UFO sew in day for my guild.  And got less done than if I stayed home... lol.  Though I did start the hand part of the binding of one of the sibling quilts, so all was not lost.  Why did nothing get accomplished? Well, for starters I forgot my other sewing machine foot - so I only had the quarter inch one... which wasn't what I needed.  Also forgot my thread tree stand thingy, so my thread wouldn't go into the machine properly.  So I stopped, and did hand work....


So, goals for this week.
1. Finish embroidering month 2 Hook, Line and Sinker block.
DONE!!!  see....

changed the name of the lake, and some of the thread colours, but I am very happy with the end result!

 

2. Start Month 3 embroider of Gingerbread Squared
Done.  Not attaching a pic though until the block is completed....

3. Finish quilting the "sibling" quilts
Done. I do have a pic, with the binding even machined on, but not hand stitched (cause hand isn't done yet! But I can't find it... so please just believe me!

4. Cut up to (and including) week 26 of the Women of the Bible blocks.  - Um, not done.  At all. 

5. Post the tutorials for the latest 2 Women of the Bible blocks. - Not done.  At all.  Need to relocate my notes actually....

6. Bind the heart placemats
Done!!  See...

7. Finish the top of the fat 1/4 placemats I got the fabric.
Done, and more.  Got the top done the, then basted at the UFO day, and quilted when I got home - and bound... cause I am awesome...

BONUS:

Not done... at all...


Start the next month placemat kit
Done.  Got all the pieces cut out.  Got the birds bonded on... still need to bond the flowers... then applique stitch, finish piecing, etc.  Shouldn't take too long :)

Work In Progress Wednesday.... WAIT! Not quite!

Okay,

So this Wednesday I won't be around during the day, as I am at my kids school ALL Day. 

And seeing as I also have a bunch of committment Tuesday and Thursday, I am going to make all week eligable to get my "goals" done - and going to try and add a bit more....

1.  Get the curtains shortened for the kids. (4 total)
2.  Get the pieces for the next set of placemat traced out for applique.
3.  Finish 3 Women of the Bible blocks - and get the tutorials up.
4.  Finish Block 2 embroidery for Gingerbread squared

And, for "extra credit" finish hand quilting the left side of the row on Downton Abbey quilt - that hasn't been worked on this month due to embroidery :(.  So ya, extra points if I get to that too!!

I am counting till Friday night for this - so five days.  Which means 2 days, and 3 evenings to work on this.... lets see.  It is a fair chunk of work to be honest, so I'm hopeful.  But these are my goals.  As Friday night the kids are back.  Sunday I need the next block for Women of the Bible.  Saturday we all meet for the embroidery BOM's... so yep.  Time to go!

The new Z44

So, for Christmas, I got a Grace Z44 frame :) (and 128 WHITE Crayola Crayons!!!!... oh, and a new camera, but it's a little late arriving....).

Anyways, here is the empty frame:

Here is my first quilt on it, already in the process of being handquilted.

 

 

 

Here is the first quilt to be done on this frame.  Already started, and more than 1/2 done.  The pink/black lines are what is to be quilted (or just quilted), the lines I am removing as I'm completing it though. 

 

Loving this frame.  Simply loving it.  :)
